Since the coolant isnt low, I drive the car and keep an eye on the temperature gauge, and the engine never seems to get hot. No Volvo dealers close by, and after 3 weeks the 5th RV has some tanks full, and some empty. My 2003 S60 non turbo 5 cylinder started giving me a continual low coolant message, but the coolant isnt low. But if I remember correctly, both bottom tanks were full. Could it be just the sensor? I think this happened once about 10-12 years ago, and I just replaced the sensor, after I crossed wired the terminals until I got a few miles to a Petro. After looking more closely, I noticed the radiator tank, was full on the bottom passenger side, but dry on the lower driver side. If the temperature sensor is reading above normal that may trigger the misleading coolant volume message you are getting. In the next 25 miles, we had several more shut downs. Check the coolant temperature when your engine is warm. My wife showed me a website that the coolant hose pops and Volvo has a recall. She will take it (or tow it) to our local Volvo dealer to have it fixed. Got fuel, and headed back to camp to load up. My wife’s 2016 XC90 T6 RD has a Engine Coolant Low Level warning with smoke (smells like pretzels) coming out of the engine. Low coolant error code, so cleared the code after making sure coolant not low, fired it up, and took off. ![]() Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. Got the 1st warning after about 20 miles, lost power, but engine didn't shut down until a full stop. AOL Customers: Make sure you check the Remember me check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. wanted to head out tomorrow AM, so drove the truck to town for fuel. I have started the truck several times, and let in idle for as much as 15-20 minutes. We are out in the desert by Bull Head City, Az., and everything was fine when we dry camped here 3 weeks ago.
